Ghana Black Stars has been knocked out of African cup of nations by the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia on a penalty shoot-out on July 8,2019 after 1-1 draw at the end of the extra time.

In the 17th minute in the second half striker Taha Yassine Carthage Eagles of Tunisia opened the scoring, but own goal in stoppage time by the defender Rami Bedoui  of Tunisia brought the needed equalizer to the Black Stars.

Tunisian coach was very tactical and defensive minded and he succeeded with his team. The attacking abilities of Tunisia was very effective. Black Stars created so many chances, but failed to score a winning goal.

This forced the play to the extra time and no extra goals were produced at the end of the 30 minutes and so penalty kicks was the only decider.Tunisians walloped Ghana Black Stars 5-4 at the penalty shoot out when Caleb Ekuban penalty kick was saved by Ben Mustapha.

The record between Black Stars and Carthage Eagles has now changed. 6 wins,1 draw and 1 loss on Black Stars side.This means that in history the Tunisians have lost 6 times and drawn once with Ghana Black Stars and defeated Black Stars once.
