Suspected Ebola Case at Tamale West Hospital-Regional Disease Control Officer Confirms

According to the Regional Disease Control officer of the Tamale West Hospital, Mr. Fuseini Mahama, confirmed a case of ebola at their facility.

According to him a man of about 35 years has contracted the disease because result is positive and has been isolated and treatment is in earnest. He further stated that the man came on his own to checked when he started having symptoms of ebola.

Prior to that neighbouring countries close to Tamale Metropolitan Assembly has been having suspected cases of ebola.

Mr. Mahama says contact tracing has also commenced in amazing rapidity to detect the possible spread amidst intensive education on ebola spread and prevention at the various communities.

Ghanaians are advised to take the route of preventive measures.
