In the wake of the shocking revelation by the Auditor General on how some statemen and members of parliament were able to secure GETfund scholarships to further their education outside the country has led to some more revelations on the matter.
Another revelation popping up has to do with the General Secretary of the largest opposition party, the NDC, Mr Asiedu Nketia who was able to secure a GETFund scholarship for his son.
Justifying his course, the former Member of Parliament claimed that he secured the scholarship when he had retired as an MP some years back.
The renowned politician explained that his son wanted to read Risk Management, a program no public university was offering at that time, his son was awarded the scholarship because he was facing some financial difficulties when he retired as a Member of Parliament.

The GETFund revelation has received various reactions from the public with most being surprised by the personalities who had the opportunity to benefit from the scheme.
More than 2200 people unlawful benefited from the scheme from 2012 to 2018 which caused the nation several millions of dollars while very deprived and needy students were denied the opportunity to further their education in or outside the country.
Some notable people who enjoyed the schemed unlawfully include Hon Sarah Adwoa Safo, the Minister of State in Charge of Procurement, Minister for Education, Mathew Opoku Prempeh and Ignatius Baffour-Awuah, the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations.
