Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Hon Isaac Adongo has challenged the Vice President to a “face-to-face” debate on Ghana’s economy.
Speaking at a forum organised by the Coalition for Restoration dabbed “Assessing the three-year reign of President Akufo-Addo” at Labone, Accra, the MP believes Vice president Mahamudu Bawumia has always been cooking figures to make the country’s economy look good.
Mr. Adongo revealed that the ruling party has been cooking data for their primary balance and they ready to go the full length to expose them even if his opposition party has to sort to foreign bodies to aid in the accounting to bring bare the fact of the true state of our economy.
He also dared the Veep to face him on a one on one debate on the country’s economy in order for the veep to defend their cooked data.
He was ready to put his political career on the line if the Veep is able to defend his numbers.
The minority member on the Finance Committee was responding to the Vice President’s Town Hall Meeting on the picture of Ghana’s Economy under Nana Addo’s first three where the Vice President claimed his Administration has outperformed the Mahama led administration as far as the country’s economy his concern.
Mr. Adongo believes the figures presented by the Veep on the primary balance were cooked by the Veep.
