Coach Maxwell Konadu sends good luck wish to Black Meteors ahead of their match against Cameroon;

Black Meteors have qualified for Olympic Games Football Tournament five times and in 1992 won a medal for the first time and in Africa at Olympic Games football. Black Meteors have made six(6) appearances at Olympic Championship Games. They, however, failed to qualified for Beijing 2008, and 2011 CAF U-23 Championship and so not did take part in London 2012 even though they won 2011 All-Africa Games championships.
Ghana’s Black Meteors in 1992 got to the semi-finals stage of in Olympic Games where they were defeated by Australians by 2 goals to 0 to claim bronze medals.
Cameroon U 23, on the other hand, was the 2000 Olympic champions. They beat the Spanish on penalty kicks in Sydney, Australia. They love to qualify again to get to the Olympic football Games Championship which has eluded them since 2008.
Their head coach Rigobert Song has trained the team very well having a blend of both local players and foreign-based players of Cameroon are looking poised to progress, but they have to do that by beating Ghana as a good start. The Indomitable Lions U23 team was built around more local players than foreign players, this means that the team has more local players than foreign players.
It is believed that the match is going to be a fierce one. Ghana U 23 team wants to qualify again to offer them the opportunity to progress from their previous record to win a gold medal. The match will be a delight to watch.
