Carrots are normally orange in colour even though some could be yellow, etc. They are very rich in pro-vitamin A, vitamins B, C, and E. They also contain small amount of proteins, iron, zinc and fat. They are also made up of reasonable amount of carbohydrate, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, niacin, folate, sodium and fiber.

According to experts, consumption of carrots makes the retina function very well which helps in night vision or in low light environment.

Additionally, carrots help maintain the skin and mucosa in good condition.

Due to the fiber composition of carrots, it facilitates the easy transit of fecal matter and soothes the intestinal mucosa.

Carrots are appropriate in diseases of the retina and of the eyes in general, skin disorders, gastritis, excess of gastric acid, colitis, and in the prevention of cancer.

Eating enough of this vegetable would help due to the medicinal value indicated above.
